Wear Blue on January 11 in solidarity to strengthen our communities.

January is recognized as National Human Trafficking Prevention Month. To spread the word about the dangers of human trafficking, TFI is sharing tips on how to recognize the signs:

Recognizing Signs of Human Trafficking: Trafficking manifestations of human trafficking are varied. According to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, some telltale signs include, but are not limited to:

• Avoidance of eye contact.

• Displaying emotions such as fear, anxiety, tension, depression, or submission.

• Exhibiting signs of malnutrition.

• Possessing minimal personal belongings.

• A distorted perception of time.

• Exhibiting bruises at different stages of healing.

Join Us in Solidarity: On January 11, we invite everyone to wear blue as a symbol of unity and heightened awareness. Together, we can fortify our communities against these horrific crimes through collective action. If you participate, share your support on social media using the hashtag #EndHumanTrafficking.

Take Action: Should you suspect someone is being unlawfully held or exploited, prioritize their safety and reach out immediately. Contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or visit National Human Trafficking Hotline. Your vigilance can make a profound difference.
